Sunday Kepong Team Tourney Experience

Sunday 18 August, I go to Kepong with my friends to join Area Team Tournament held at Jusco Kepong to see whether my Mecha Phantom Beast (MPB) can do what thing special in the tourney. The team tourney just like the official team tourney (Asia Plus), share the current banlist among a team. That rule of course got its advantage and disadvantage but I think you should know.

My team consists of Mermails for the team leader, MPB for player A, and Dark World for player B. So, we just play there since really boring just stay at home and nothing to do lol. The team tourney consists of 4 swiss rounds and then cut to top 4 for the prize.

Anyway, here is my progress during the swiss round:

Round 1: vs Verz
Game 1: Opponent call out ophion and try to wrack my raptor but I use scapegoat to protect my monster. Then, I call out Number 30 to kill ophion. Then he cant make any more big monsters and I just wrack using my Number 30 to win the game lol
Game 2: I forgot how I win...
Result: I win the match but...my both teammates lose the match...so sad...

Round 2: vs Mermail
Game 1: Nothing special and opponent maybe bad hand so I win...
Game 2: Opponent has abyss-megalo on the field and put 3 different abyss equip spell to abyss-megalo and originally I see wow and then topdecked creature swap next turn...use heavy storm to make the equip spell that negate spells to grave and I change 1 sheep token to attack position and use creature swap to take control of 4000 attack abyss-megalo...and then win the game lol
Result: Leader win the game as well and so teammate B just simply play...

Round 3: vs Verz (again...)
Game 1: My hand got 2 small e-dragon lightning and 1 tetherwolf and just let it pass and then opponent just 1 turn ophion...I cant call e-dragon tempest...I also want try to add MPB card from megaraptor effect but I didnt expect that opponent main mistake trap card...then I lose the game as the game progress...(I should had summoned dracossack 1st turn...)
Game 2: Bad hand and opponent 1 turn 4 monsters summoned...and lose...
Result: Our team totally lose in this round...

Round 4: vs Dark World
Game 1: Nothing special and opponent seems to draw not good hand so I win...
Game 2: The game was nice...had 1 moment that I summoned dracossack while control 1 MPB token...try use effect to summon 1 MPB token but opponent use skill drain then I chain with MST to the trap but opponent use forbidden chalice to target my dracossack and I use enemy controller to tribute dracossack to take control of 1 of opponent monsters...means I get 2 MPB tokens...I sohai compulse opponent monster on my field to hand...then I manage to summon 3 MPB monsters at the same time but opponent use another skill drain...Then I no need think kill opponent monster and summon Number 85: crazy box during main phase 2...then I win the game as it progress...(I had learned that the new level 7 MPB gryphin got its other use in the game...if not I can fast win the game...)
Result: Leader also win the match and so teammate B also play fun lol...

Overall, my team is 2 win 2 lose but I was satisfied with the overall performance...

I had done pretty well in this tourney and after this tourney I think there is no more big tourney until Asia Plus Official Team Tournament held at September or October (I dont know about the exact date...). For now on, I need to study for the final exam that start after National Day...

Play in Yugioh tourney at GA

Yesterday I went to Gamers Arena to enter seed tournament for National Championship 2013 that will probably held at end of June. Hate that I need to buy something from the shop to join the tourney. I use MPB (Mecha Phantom Beast) deck for the tourney. I manage to get to final but lose to overpowered Prophecy used by Asia Championship 2013 second place Sam Kee. This is my dueling progress:

First four swiss round to decide top 4

1st round: Win 2-1 vs mixed machine deck
Game 1: Forgot how I win lol
Game 2: I dont have anything to stop opponent monster from game
Game 3: We both bad hand and I manage to get the win

2nd round: Win 2-0 vs dark world
Game 1: Opponent just attack my monster not token lol then I get the win
Game 2: Opponent bad hand again and then I win

3rd round: Lose 1-2 vs Sam Kee's prophecy
Game 1: Sam didnt dueled against MPB deck before and so I manage to win the game
Game 2: I bad hand and he had so many book then I lose
Game 3: Forgot how he win...

4th round: Win 2-1 vs Tzeling's HERO
Game 1: Forgot how I win lol
Game 2: I didnt draw any good then she kill me fast
Game 3: I manage to get the win...

Means I made it into top 4 and proceed to semi-final.

Semi-final: Win 2-0 vs Evilswarm (Verz)
Game 1: I beat opponent ophion using harri-ard and falcon combo then I win the game
Game 2: I manage to win as well...

Final: (Rematch) Lose 1-2 vs Sam Kee's prophecy
Game 1: He had books so I lose the game
Game 2: He bad hand and I win the game
Game 3: I stuck in my hand for him summon jowgen (that make me scooped...)...

So thats how I manage to get 2nd place and almost can get the seed position...
But anyway, I was satisfied and dueled with Sam Kee and it was my honor to duel with him XD
